§ 33. Mr. HURDasked the Prime Minister whether the Franco-Canadian Commercial Convention has been denounced, and what steps have been or are being taken to negotiate a fresh arrangement?
Mr. HARMSWORTHThe Franco-Canadian Commercial Conventions have been denounced at the instance of the Canadian Government, and I am not aware whether the latter contemplate or desire the conclusion of a fresh arrangement.
§ Mr. HURDWill the Government consider the desirability of postponing until the next Imperial Conference the consideration of this question, so that the joint negotiations by all the nations of the Empire of these foreign conventions can be dealt with?
