§ 1. Captain LOSEBYasked the Minister of Pensions if the salaries of medical officers attached to the Ministry of Pensions hospitals are in some cases much in arrears; and if there is any reason why they should not be paid up to date?
§ The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)I have made inquiries, and am informed that the 594 salaries of all medical officers who have been duly appointed to the staff of the Ministry are punctually paid at the end of each month. In some cases there has been delay in the formal appointment of medical officers who have taken up duty in advance of appointment, and are thus left temporarily without pay. I am inquiring into this.
