13. Colonel GRETTON

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if his attention has been called to the notice posted at Carrick-on-Shannon, headed Irish Re publican Headquarters, North Roscommon, purporting to order a close boycott of the Royal Irish Constabulary and any person having intercourse with them; whether any such boycott has commenced; and, if so, what steps are the Irish Government taking in the matter?

Mr. HENRY

Attention has been called to the notice referred to. The police are being boycotted in this area, and are getting supplies brought by the military.
