HC Deb 12 July 1920 vol 131 c1924
2. Sir ROBERT NEWMAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether steps have been taken by the Clearing House, to present for confirmation to the German Clearing House the British-owned unpaid coupons of German Government and municipal loans; and whether, in the event of such coupons not having yet been thus presented, he will now cause them to be presented to the German Clearing House for confirmation so that they may be encashed by the British Clearing House to British creditors immediately on the expiry of the stipulated period after the setting up of the German Clearing House?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Sir Robert Horne)

Steps have already been taken by the British Clearing Office to collect such coupons, and all those received up to the present have been forwarded to the German Clearing Office.
