HC Deb 23 February 1920 vol 125 cc1270-1
19. Mr. A. T. DAVIES

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the action of Mr. Mead, the Marlborough Street Police Court Magistrate, in dismissing an alleged profiteering case on the ground that doubt existed as to the validity of the Board of Trade's Regulations under which the proceedings were instituted; and what steps he proposes to take to make the Regulations clearer?

Sir A. GEDDES

My attention has been called to the matter in question, and the necessary action has been taken to have the decision of the learned Magistrate reviewed by a Divisional Court on a case to be stated by him.
