HC Deb 23 February 1920 vol 125 c1284
28. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked if any promise of military support has been made to the Polish Government in the event of the invading Polish Armies being driven back to their own frontiers by the Russians?

The answer to the hon. and gallant Member's question is in the negative.

Colonel J. WARD

Are we to understand that no Allied assistance is to be given to any of these new States which have been established by this Treaty in case they should be attacked by overwhelming forces from outside?

That is not the question. We are asked whether we have given any undertaking to support the Polish Government in any advance on Russian territory.
