HC Deb 23 February 1920 vol 125 cc1291-2
45. Captain LOSEBY

asked the Prime Minister if he will name a day on which questions can most conveniently be addressed to the President of the Board of Education with some assurance of an oral answer?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We shall try to make some satisfactory arrangement.

53. Captain LOSEBY

asked the Prime Minister whether he will take advantage of the national spirit engendered by the late War to have the subject of history and the duties of citizenship taught throughout the primary schools of the country?

Mr. FISHER

I have been asked to answer this question. The attitude of the Board of Education in this matter is indicated both in the Introduction and in Article 2 (7) of the Code of Regulations for Public Elementary Schools. I have no reason to suppose that such teaching as the hon. and gallant Member has in view is neglected.
