HC Deb 19 February 1920 vol 125 c1034
44. Mr. WIGNALL

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the desirability of immediately selling the accumulated stocks of blankets, &c, in dumps in France at a nominal figure rather than allowing them to lie idle and perhaps become unserviceable?

The DEPUTY-MINISTER of MUNITIONS (Mr. Kellaway)

I have been asked to reply. All stocks of blankets in France passed to the Disposal Board for disposal have been sold.

Major G LYN

Has the hon. Gentleman's attention been called to reports of maladministration in the disposal of storage in France, and has he any cause to believe those reports are as untrue as the suggestions in the Question just put?

Mr. KELLAWAY

I think the amount of fact in the other statements to which the hon. and gallant Gentleman refers is just about in the same proportion as the amount of fact in this Question.
