§ 11. Mr. LYNNasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he is in a position to state the decision of the Government with regard to the claim of Royal Irish Constabulary pensioners for increased pensions?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONI regret that I am not yet in a position to convey the Government's decision. The claim raises important questions of policy affecting the whole public service, but I am in hopes that a decision will be reached at an early date.
§ Sir J. BUTCHERWill the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind the very deplorable condition of these pensioners and demand some concession from the Treasury as early as possible?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONI am bearing all those considerations in mind.
