§ Dr. ADDISONUp to the end of last month certificates had been issued by local authorities in England and Wales for the erection of 4,299 houses. I am at present considering with my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer the revision of the terms of the grants, and until a decision is reached, it will not be practicable to make an estimate of the total number of houses likely to be completed this year under this scheme.
