§ Dr. ADDISONWork on the erection of houses is in progress on 57 different sites in this area. These schemes relate to 38 different local authorities. Tenders for the erection of houses have been approved in the case of 12 other local authorities, and preliminary work has already been, or will shortly be, commenced. I will circulate a list of the authorities in the OFFICIAL REPORT. Work on roads and sewers is proceeding in a number of other cases, which are shown in a second list. Considerable progress is being made; but much more is required and will be forthcoming if money and labour are adequately available.
