§ 32. Captain LOSEBYasked the Minister of Labour if he is yet in a position to state when the King's Roll of the employers of ex-service men will be published according to towns and districts?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAThe first edition of the roll was arranged by counties, and it is not proposed to re-issue these names at present. Preparations are being made for the issue of a supplementary edition, in connection with which my hon. Friend's suggestion will be borne in mind; but this supplementary edition cannot appear for some time.
§ Captain LOSEBYMay I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether the King's Roll as at present constituted does not fulfil the purpose for which it was created; and, secondly, whether the right hon. Gentleman is aware that his predecessor clearly indicated the intention of publishing the roll according to towns and districts?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAIf that undertaking were given, it must be fulfilled; but, in any case, I should be glad to confer on the point.
§ Mr. HURDHas anything been done in the way of posting this roll in the Post Offices throughout the country?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAThe matter has been taken in hand, bue I am not sure what stage it has reached. I will let my hon. Friend know.
