HC Deb 19 April 1920 vol 128 c37
56. Captain COOTE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture whether all county councils have as yet submitted schemes for the formation of County Agricultural Committees; and in how many cases have these Committees actually been appointed?

Sir A. BOSCAWEN

Schemes for the formation of County Agricultural Committees have been received, some in draft, in the case of 46 county councils up to the present. Fourteen have been finally approved, and in one case the Committee is complete and is to hold its first meeting this week. In 13 cases the appointment of the Committee is still proceeding. In the case of the remaining 32 schemes, 21 have been provisionally approved and 11 are now under consideration. In the case of 16 councils, no scheme has yet been submitted.
