§ 22. Sir EDWARD CARSONasked when it is intended to introduce the Bill dealing with education in Ireland?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONOwing to Parliamentary exigencies, I regret I cannot at present give a definite date for the introduction of the Bill. As regards the latter part of the question of my hon. Friend and learned Member for North Down, I would ask him to await the Bill, which will state the financial proposals contemplated.
§ Sir E. CARSONHaving regard to the delay in the introduction of this Bill, can the right hon. Gentleman say whether any steps have been taken, even of a temporary character, to provide elementary education for 15.000 children in Belfast who are receiving none?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONI regret that no steps have been taken, but I am hoping that the early introduction of the Bill will provide for these children.
