§ 48. Sir E. CARSONasked the Prime Minister when it was proposed to restore the right of trial by jury in Civil actions?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWThe Juries Act, 1918, which places certain restrictions upon the right to trial by jury in Civil actions, and to which, no doubt, my right hon. Friend 914 refers, will expire in ordinary course six months after the termination of the War. The question of whether before that date some steps should be taken to relax the restrictions imposed by that Act is being considered.
