asked what steps he is taking to remedy the widespread in convenience and loss which is obtaining in many parts of the country because unsuitable types of coal are being rationed to manufacturing establishments and improper and too common varieties supplied to many households?

Owing to the shortage as compared to pre-war quantities of certain types of coal some inconvenience of the nature indicated is, I am afraid, inevitable. I have the matter under special consideration to sec if anything more can be done to reduce this inconvenience.
