HC Deb 17 November 1919 vol 121 c616
54. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Prime Minister whether any application has been received from the French Government that Great Britain find the other Allied and Associated Powers should join in guaranteeing the payment of Germany's debt to France?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

The reply is in the negative.

Lieut.-Colonel CLAUDE LOWTHER

Is it not a fact that the exact amount of Germany's indebtedness to France under the Peace Treaty will not be decided until 1921?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

I will look into that.
