HC Deb 06 November 1919 vol 120 c1660
33. Mr. SEDDON

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the demand made by the Director of Building Materials to supply a large quantity of fireclay sinks and fireclay closets to be used in connection with the State-aided housing schemes is being made impossible by the limited coal supply; and whether he can arrange with the Coal Controller for an adequate supply to prevent delay in house-building?

The DEPUTY-MINISTER of MUNITIONS (Mr. Kellaway)

I have been asked to answer this question. Adequate provision has been made for the supply of sanitary ware to meet the requirements of the State-aided housing schemes. No complaints of a shortage of coal have been received from manufacturers.
