HC Deb 05 November 1919 vol 120 c1479
30. Mr. PRESTON

asked the Minister of Labour whether the women who are demobilised from the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, the Women's Royal Air Force, and the Women's Royal Naval services and are unemployed can draw the unemployment dole after 21st November next?

The MINISTER of LABOUR (Sir R. Horne)

In the case of mobile members (excluding officers and officials) who enrolled in one of these services for the duration of the War, the period during which they may draw donation, if unemployed and otherwise satisfying the conditions of the scheme, is the year following personal demobilisation (or the year following November 25th, 1918, if they were discharged before that date). The great majority of these women, therefore, will retain their rights to donation for a considerable period after the end of November, 1919. The other members of these corps are entitled to donation on the same footing as civilian workers, and failing an extension of the scheme in respect to civilian workers their rights will expire on 24th November next.
