§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Chamberlain)The dollar 1415 securities (including Canadian securities) now held under the Treasury deposit schemes amount to just over $500,000,000. Most of these securities are pledged as collateral for loans in America. In addition deposited securities to the value of $106,111,000 were purchased by the Treasury and most of these have been sold.
