HC Deb 26 May 1919 vol 116 cc809-10
15. Mr. SITCH

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the very serious situation created in the coalmining industry of the Tipton, Old Hill, and Kingswinford areas of Stafford shire, through the failure of the operations carried on by the Mines Drainage Commission of those districts, he will be prepared at an early date to receive a deputation representing the mine-owners concerned for the purpose of discussing the question and submitting suggestions for the more efficient protection of the property from flooding?

Sir A. GEDDES

The Controller of Coal Mines is receiving to-day a deputation from the South Staffordshire coal-owners.
