HC Deb 22 May 1919 vol 116 cc552-3
40. Lieut.-Colonel ARCHER-SHEE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will lay a White Paper upon the Table, giving the number of new passenger coaches which are actually on order, from outside makers other than the works of the railway companies themselves, by each of the railway companies entering London?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

The Board of Trade are not in possession of this information, but are inquiring whether any such figures can be given. As, however, my right hon. Friend pointed out on Monday, in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Central Southwark (Mr. Gilbert), the repair of existing stock is of more immediate importance.
