asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies what classes of manufactured goods have been prohibited by the Commonwealth Government of Australia from entry into that country since the Armistice was signed; and whether the Commonwealth Constitution of Australia permits the prohibition of any or all manufactured goods from Britain into Australia in normal times?

As far as I am aware, the only manufactured goods the entry of which into Australia has been prohibited by the Commonwealth Government since the signature of the Armistice are dyes other than those of British origin, and sheep dips. The answer to the last part of the question is that under the Commonwealth Constitution Act the regulation of trade and commerce falls within the sphere of the Commonwealth Government's powers
