HC Deb 20 May 1919 vol 116 c190
43. Colonel YATE

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether the claim for compensation in the case of the Holwell gun-proof range has now been decided; and, if not, when the decision will be arrived at?

Mr. FORSTER

I understand there are two claims for compensation in this case, one by the dispossessed tenant and the other by the owner. The tenant's claim has been before the Defence of the Realm Losses Commission, who, pending a hearing, have sanctioned a substantial payment on account. The owner's claim is before the Commission as an agreed case, requiring only their sanction to the provisional settlement arrived at.
