HC Deb 19 May 1919 vol 116 c31
67. Major Sir BETRAM FALLE

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware that letters sent from the Army of Occupation from Northern Syria to Alexandria take about twenty-one days to reach their destination; that these letters go the whole way by sea, and that the journey from Alexandria to Messina takes thirty-six hours; and if he can do anything to improve the delivery of these letters?

Mr. PEASE

I regret that I have no information on the subject raised by the hon. Baronet. I will, however, make inquiries and acquaint him with the result.
