42. Colonel THORNEasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that Mr. H. Lewsley, of 1, Conway Street, Nottingham, was approached by the Advisory Committee for the tuition of discharged soldiers and sailors as cinematograph operatives, for which he was to receive 2s. 6d. per hour along with others; that he was engaged to take on the work for six months; that all the invoices, etc., have been sent to Mr. Thatcher, manager. Labour Exchange, Nottingham, who was the secretary of the Advisory Committee; that the amount due to all concerned is upwards of£200; and that up to the present time the money is still owing to the man in question; and if he will take action in the matter?
