HC Deb 01 May 1919 vol 115 c315
44. Mr. GILBERT

asked the First Commissioner of Works what is the present position of the improvement of the approach to the Admiralty Arch, Charing Cross; whether it is proposed to complete the improvement at once; and when it will be put in hand?

Sir A. MOND

This improvement, which will be carried out by the London County Council, has been postponed owing to Treasury restrictions on expenditure which have only just been removed, and no decision has yet been arrived at as to when the work shall be put in hand.
