Mr. FINNEYasked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been called to a resolution passed at a meeting of organised sub-postmasters, Stoke-on-Trent, protesting against the instructions now being issued to open sub-offices at 8 a.m. instead of 9 a.m., as at present, as a retrograde step; whether he is aware that this action is viewed with concern as it requires sub-postmasters to be on duty eleven hours a day and upwards, and is opposed to working-class movements for shorter hours; and if he will inquire into the matter with a view to removing the cause of dissatisfaction?
