HC Deb 12 March 1919 vol 113 c1263
21. Mr. GOULD

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is aware that the Mill House, Llandaff, under lease to F. W. Blower, was requisitioned under the Defence of the Realm Act, in January, 1918, as being necessary for officers' quarters for Admiralty officials stationed at Cardiff; that no rent has been paid to the evicted tenant for the premises; that no compensation has been paid for loss of garden produce and out buildings, on which the tenant claims to have spent considerable money; and that no payment has been tendered for house fittings summarily taken over; if he is aware that the evicted tenant still pays rent for the property to the owner; and whether it is the intention of the Department to deal expeditiously with the tenant, who claims to have already suffered considerable financial loss?

Telegraphic inquiry has been made in connection with my hon. Friend's question, but it has not been practicable in the time to obtain the details for reply. Perhaps he will put the question down again this day week.
