HC Deb 06 March 1919 vol 113 c579
15. Mr. HOWARD GRITTEN

asked the Pensions Minister whether his attention has been drawn to the case of First-class Stoker Robert Clint, who was accidently drowned at sea and whose widow has only been granted a temporary pension on the ground that his death was not attributable to naval service; and whether, in view of Article 11 of the Order in Council of 30th March, 1917, that a widow is entitled to a full pension if her husband has been killed while in the performance of naval duty, he will cause further inquiries to be made into this case so that a permanent pension may be given to the widow and an allowance for the child?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

I have reconsidered this case, and decided to grant the widow the full pension under Article 11, with allowance for her child
