HC Deb 03 March 1919 vol 113 c33
48. Sir MAURICE DOCKRELL

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the advantage to both Great Britain and Ireland which would accrue from a closer connection between the two countries, any recent estimate has been made of the cost of connecting them by tunnel; and will this question be considered in conjunction with any scheme for tunnelling the English Channel?

Mr. BONAR LAW

This suggestion is one of those which will be considered by the proposed Ministry of Ways and Communications.
