HC Deb 30 June 1919 vol 117 c618
91. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Postmaster-General when the London telephone service will be reorganised so as to include Stanmore within its orbit?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Illingworth)

In any revision of the telephone services consideration will necessarily be given to the extent of the London area.

93. Lieut.-Colonel A. MURRAY

asked the Postmaster-General when he will make his promised statement on the telephone service?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The Post Office Estimates were to have been taken on Thursday last, when I intended to make a statement on the telephone service. I now propose to wait until the Estimates are taken.

Lieut.-Colonel MURRAY

When will that be?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

I am afraid I cannot answer that question.
