HC Deb 30 June 1919 vol 117 cc588-9
26. Mr. GILBERT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has now received an answer from the South- Eastern and Chatham Railway Company as to reopening all the stations and working the Victoria to City loop line which runs through South London; and whether he will press on the Railway Executive Committee the urgent necessity for this reopening in order to relieve the present traffic congestion on tramways, tubes, and omnibuses in South London?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

This matter has been under discussion with the railway company concerned and the Railway Executive Committee. I am afraid it is not possible at present to make any announcement with regard to the reopening of the stations referred to. The question will, however, not be lost sight of.
