HC Deb 29 July 1919 vol 118 cc1944-5
86. Mr. STANTON

asked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been called to the serious delays which take place with regard to the telephone service in the Mountain Ash and Aberdare areas, through which delays business men and the public generally are put to great loss and inconvenience; and will his Department endeavour at once to alter this state of things?

Mr. PEASE

The hon. Member probably refers to the trunk telephone service in the areas mentioned. The trunk traffic has increased rapidly, and the question of improving the service by providing additional circuits or otherwise is already under consideration.
