HC Deb 29 July 1919 vol 118 c1942
81. Sir S. HOARE

asked the Under secretary of State for the Colonies whether a number of Czecho-Slovak subjects are still detained in a concentration camp in Malta; and whether they can immediately be repatriated to their native country?

Captain GUEST

I have been asked to answer this question. There are a small number of prisoners of war in the concentration camp at Malta who have been, recognised by the Czecho-Slovak Legation in London as their subjects, and arrangements are accordingly being made to hand over these men.

Sir S. HOARE

Does that mean that; the prisoners will be at once repatriated to Czecho-Slovakia?

Captain GUEST

It means that they will at once be handed over to the representative of the Czecho-Slovak Government.
