Mr. RAEasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that port warehouses in London and elsewhere are seriously congested; if he is aware that railway -warehouses in the West Riding of Yorkshire and elsewhere, which formerly were largely devoted to the storage of wool, are at present sparsely occupied; and if he will take steps to ensure that these premises be quickly made available for the storage of wool?
§ Sir H. GREENWOODI am aware that the present stock of wool in the country is such as to make it difficult to find storage accommodation for it. I should doubt if much additional accommodation could be found in any railway warehouses at the present time, but if the hon. Gentleman will let me know what premises he has in mind I will see whether anything can be done. Efforts are being made to find other means of storing wool away from the ports.
