HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 c890
55. Mr. HIGHAM

asked the Prime Minister if he is in a position to announce what steps will be taken by the Government to curtail profiteering pending the Report of the Select Committee; if the Government intends to set up tribunals for the purpose of hearing charges against those who are said to be profiteering; and, if so, what powers will be given to these tribunals?

59. Mr. LAMBERT

asked the Prime Minister whether, having regard to the coming Parliamentary Recess, he will, without waiting for the Report of a Select Committee, take steps to check profiteering in boots, clothing, and other articles of necessity?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I cannot at present add anything to the previous replies on this subject.
