HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 c890
57. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Prime Minister whether he is now in a position to announce the rules of evidence and procedure which will be adopted for the trial of the German ex-Emperor; whether these are directed to prevent undue length of the proceedings; and what is the procedure to be adopted for the surrender of the ex-Emperor?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I can add nothing to what the Prime Minister said on 3rd July last.

Captain W. BENN

Is he aware that many people who desire to see the Kaiser tried think it very undignified to bring him to London to be tried?

Mr. BONAR LAW

Yes, many people have different views on such a subject.
