HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 c896
70. Major E. WOOD

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether, in view of the rise in the cost of feeding-stuffs and the shortage of this year's hap crop, he can make an early announcement as to meat prices which may safeguard the production of meat through the coming winter?

94. Captain FITZROY

asked the Food Controller whether it is proposed to continue the control of meat prices during the winter of 1919–20; and, if so, whether he can make an announcement on the matter?

Mr. ROBERTS

I have already stated that it has been decided to continue the control of meat prices throughout the winter months. The scale of prices is under consideration, and an announcement on the subject will be made as soon as possible.
