HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 cc872-3
48. Mr. BETTERTON

asked the Prime Minister when the Report may be expected of the Committee appointed under the chairmanship of Lord Cave to inquire into questions of foreign trade and the constitution of the Department of Overseas Trade; and when the Report will be in the hands of Members?

Mr. BONAR LAW (Leader of the House)

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for Kincardine and Western on Thursday last.

Mr, BETTERTON

May I ask my right hon. Friend whether the House will have an opportunity of discussing that Report?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I said then that though it is not usual to publish reports for the guidance of the Cabinet, I thought this must be an exception, but the Cabinet must have an opportunity to consider it first.
