HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 c887
46. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister whether French coloured troops are being used against the Hungarian Republic or are about to be so used; whether he has any official know ledge of atrocities by the de facto Hungarian Government; and whether any efforts are now being made to come to terms with the de facto Hungarian Government in the interests of peace and humanity?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

I believe that there are French coloured troops in that part of Hungarian territory which is occupied by the French. I have no definite information with regard to the second part of the question. As regards the last part the Allied Plenipotentiaries at Paris are now discussing what action should be taken with regard to the situation in Hungary.
