Lieut.-Colonel THORNEasked the Food Controller whether, seeing that many thousands of people will be visiting London during the week-end of 19th July on account of the Peace celebrations, and that the secretary of the London Retail Meat Trades Union has stated that there will be a shortage of meat at this period in view of the big demands for meat by hotels and catering managers, he intends making arrangements in order that butchers in working class areas will have a fair share of the quantity of meat available and a proportion of the better cuts?
