HC Deb 14 July 1919 vol 118 c42
102. Mr. ALFRED SHORT

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the advisability of reopening the sub-post office at Prince's End, Tipton?

Mr. PARKER (Lord of the Treasury)

The post office at Prince's End, Tipton, has not been closed, but ray right hon. Friend assumes that the hon. Member refers to the neighbouring office at Bloom-field, which was closed in June, 1916. The amount of business transacted at the Bloomfield office was very small, and as the Tipton Green Post Office is only about 660 yards distant, he regrets that he would not feel justified in reopening it.
