HC Deb 14 July 1919 vol 118 c42
103. Mr. SUGDEN

asked why sub-post offices are not subject to inspection and report by inspectors as to light, air, sanitation, and cleanliness; and when he pro poses to appoint such inspectors, having in mind the serious effect upon the health of the general public and also of the per sons employed therein by reason of the present condition of many such sub-post offices?

Mr. PARKER

I must refer the hon. Member to the answer my right hon. Friend gave him on the 3rd July.

Mr. SUGDEN

Will the hon. Gentleman not regard the employes as worthy of consideration in regard to the conditions in which they work? Will he not reconsider the matter in consultation with the Minister of Health?

Mr. PARKER

I will call the attention of my right hon. Friend to the remarks of the hon. Member.
