HC Deb 14 July 1919 vol 118 c12
10. Mr. RAMSDEN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the statement that the deficit falling on the public Exchequer for the coming year will be £46,000,000 sterling in respect of coal prices, he will state if the prices to the public will be increased, or in what other way this extra charge will be met so as to avoid the payment by the State of such a subsidy?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on the 9th July to a question asked by the hon. Member for Montrose (Mr. Sturrock).
