HC Deb 01 December 1919 vol 122 cc24-5
45. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government, before announcing their new Irish policy, will consider the advisability and the justice of granting at least as full a measure of self-government to the people of Ireland as they are granting to the people of Malta?

Mr. BONAR LAW (Leader of the House)

The Government are, needless to say, giving full consideration to this question, but are not impressed by the analogy of Malta.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

When may we expect a statement of the Government policy on this vital matter?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I cannot name a time.
