HC Deb 15 April 1919 vol 114 c2705
30. Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that there are three conscientious objectors still in Maidstone Prison who have been there without a single day's break since June,]916; whether he is also aware that these men were sentenced to death in France, these sentences afterwards being commuted to ten years' penal servitude; and if he will say why these men have not been released from prison with other men who have served two years' imprisonment?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Shortt)

The men referred to have been released.
