HC Deb 10 April 1919 vol 114 cc2216-7
64. Lieutenant - Colonel MALONE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the British Cellulose and Chemical Manufacturing Company are about to increase their capital by approximately £1,250,000 in preference shares; and whether this matter has received a licence under the revised Regulation 30 F of the Defence of the Realm Regulations?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The application of the company for permission to issue fresh capital was granted in January last, prior to the introduction of the Defence of the Realm Regulations referred to.
