HC Deb 03 April 1919 vol 114 c1381
71. Mr. STURROCK

asked the Post-master-General whether he can now state when pre-war conditions will be restored to country districts in Scotland where two years ago postal deliveries were cut down to three per week?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The restrictions to which the hon. Member refers were not carried out simultaneously but were introduced only when local circumstances made such a course necessary. Each case will now be again considered in connection with a general review of postal services.
