HC Deb 03 April 1919 vol 114 c1381
70. Mr. CLOUGH

asked the Postmaster General whether he is aware that there are complaints from traders regarding the delays in the dispatch of parcels to France; and whether he will cause an investigation to be made at once into the matter with a view to improvement?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

There is no delay in the dispatch of parcels to France; but I have reason to believe that the delivery of parcels after arrival in France is slower than in ordinary times. I am making inquiry of the French Post Office with a view to an acceleration of the service.
